Nursery Colors

I just LOVE the picture that has the vase of flowers, so I am decorating the baby's room based on that and including golds and creams. The dresser was a Goodwill find (it still smells like a grandma) and I decided to paint it pastel greenish blue. My intention was to stain it also, but I like how it turned out. Now I just need to find the perfect drawer handles for it.

I still need to: arrange the room, hang pictures and curtains, find cute bedding, get a chair, etc. Once all that is done, I can fill it with baby stuff! I have 12 weeks left...sounds like a lot, but it is flying by.

I needed another pillow for the couch, so I made this one. I love how the burlap ruffle turned out.

We love our friends

We love it when our friends from all over come to visit. This past weekend our friends, Dave & Amy Riter, from Arizona came to visit and we captured some fun moments. At the beach we saw a family of dolphins who were so close to us, crabs, and starfish.

27 weeks

Sorry for the belly shots, but we are 3000 miles away from our family and they keep requesting some. I swear Sheree Jr. does flips all day long in there. She moves ALL the time and it is the coolest feeling! Rob and I have such a close bond with her already and are so grateful for this great blessing in our lives. We look forward to her arrival!

I finally went out and bought some comfy dresses for church because I can't wear pencil skirts anymore hahaha. They have saved my life!

slowly becoming a home

Our condo is slowly becoming a home. We have never owned any furniture so it has been a challenge starting from scratch. Thankfully my parents gave us their old kitchen table and couches that I grew up on. We still need a few more items like a tv stand, coffee table, and bedroom furniture, but at this point in life saving for the baby comes first.

I found this end table at Goodwill and repainted it. Do you like our "chia pet"? That is what Rob calls it, but it's not a chia pet...I glued fake moss to a styrofoam ball - it adds color.

I refused to pay $1000 for a crib, so I shopped around Craigslist and found this vintage crib (only used once) for $80. I can't decide if I should paint it. I made the blanket for Sheree Jr.

Master bedroom - it doesn't look big in the picture, but it is huge. Yes I know it is plain looking, but we have to make due for now. I have been wanting to make this anthro quilt and a tuffed headboard, but I have so many other projects I need to get to first. Rob loves the master bath because he can do jumping jacks in the shower.

Guest bedroom - It is hard working with white walls. We got this bed frame for our wedding and finally got it out of the box.
