Halloween Week

We carved pumpkins with the Skousens!! In this pic we are imitating our pumpkins (notice: Rob didn't know what face to make because he carved stars.)
We went to our ward Halloween party. Rob was a yoga instructor and I was his yoga mat. Ps Rob is wearing spandex.
Rob and I played mom and dad to 4 little girls again. We had such a great time and yes they were still drooling over Rob! Girls flock towards him haha.

We went home for fall break because Rob's brother Matt had his homecoming talk and his other brother Sean had his farewell talk...on the same day. It was so great to experience that! Meanwhile, the Laney's moved into a lake house. It felt like we were at Lake Powell...we went out on the boat like 3 times a day. It was so so so wonderful to be in the warm sun again!
We liked to bring Ringo the cat with us on the paddle boat. Rob got a kick out of seeing how far he could jump to get to shore without touching the water. Ringo hates water!
Matt brought home a bundle of gangster attire from his mission in Baltimore. Not for Halloween, but for real. The jackets have built-in gun pockets on the inside...creepy. Notice Rae has her diamond grill on and they are holding canes which are really knives.Rob made fun of me one night because I tucked my shirt in to my pants. Boys don't know style.

Lately...

Rob and I have been married for 9 months today! Also, he proposed to me a year ago today.
Things that have happened the past few weeks...

Elder Matt Laney is home from Baltimore!
monster spider + the wall = hole. I killed a spider by smashing the wall in with my foot. From all my experiences patching up holes as a kid, I have to say I'm pretty good at it.First day of school...
We were parents for a week of 4 little girls. We had a lot of fun...and decided not to have kids for a while now haha. The girls were OBSESSED with Rob and could not keep their hands off of him.

Valley Of The Sun!

Rob & I flew to Arizona for a week and took our good friends Stephanie & Christian with us. Man, it was scorching, but we loved every minute of it! Our flight got in at 11pm and we went straight to In-n-Out, duh. For practically every meal we ate at all our favorite restaurants. The highlight of the week was when we cut cabbage at my GParent Stapley's house to prepare sourkraut for Thanksgiving...priceless.

Our Best Friend

Rob and I probably use this twice a week. Tonight we grilled a fatty steak on it and last night we roasted mallows over it with people in our ward. The cute little thing makes Rob and I more social. We have a bbq a week. I swear we have gotten fat from all those burgers we've eaten. We are trying to enjoy the weather while it lasts. It's perfect from about 6pm on...we love it!

Staying in Utah...

Unfortunately, we aren't moving home anymore. We are sad, but that's what school does to ya. We were looking forward to being with our families!
We will miss our fellow Arizonites terribly and will try to fly/drive down as much as we can. Heart you!

The 4th in Payson

The view from the porch is amazing!
Rob & I met some of my family at my cousin's cabin in Payson, AZ for the 4th. The firework show we saw was 30 minutes long and probably the best I've ever seen. We were so excited to be back in AZ!

the sKurf & the laKe!

concentrating
When we were at the lake I got water in my ear, no big deal, thought I could get it out. Well 2 days have gone by and I have tried everything in the book to try to get this gross Utah lake water out of my head. I ended up going to the doctor today so they could check it out. Come to find out, I have an infection in my stinkin ear :(

Past 2 Weeks...

I have only mowed one other lawn and it was my friend's down the street when I was 15. I volunteered to do this chore because I wanted to impress the boy who lived across the street from her haha. Rob thought it would be a good idea if I helped out with yard work instead of laying out while he did it. It's hard work and hurts your back, but I don't mind impressing my husband :)
Her name is KELLY! and we love her.

Slip n Slidin Sheree

This is a video I took of Sheree at a birthday party about a week ago. She doesn't know I am putting it up, so it will probably be taken down in a day or so. If you are one of the lucky few that get to watch it while it stays on the blog, then consider yourself lucky. (by the way, nice wedgie!)

In Loving Memory of BlueCrush

I will never forget the day when I filled up for gas and paid $90. At that moment I just knew it was time to sadly say goodbye. BlueCrush was my baby. It was extremely hard to see her drive away and out of my life by a Hispanic man and his amigos. She got me from point a to b since I was 16. Blue has given my friends and I many great memories - the numerous times I got pulled over for doing something ridiculous, jamming to 'You Can Do It, Put Your Back Into It', backing into Rachel's brand new parked car, makeout sessions or what my dad calls is...MOT for 'make out truck', etc. At this time of sorrow we would now invite all who knew BlueCrush to share their feelings on how wonderful she was to us. May her life be filled with hydrolics, 2-tone paint jobs, Virgin Marys, and many hombres to come.Keep in mind I have never dealt with this much money in my life. So you can image this guy, 'Faustino' who can't speak a lick of English, handing me all this cash thinking "I'm going to pull mad Senoritas driving this truck tonight". Rob and I wanted to jump on the bed and throw it in the air (like the movie Blank Check), but we decided to act like adults. After selling something so huge, we felt responsible and adult-like. Kind of like, when you had to buy your first roll of toilet paper after you moved out....weird.
